Like many events this year the West Reading Fashion decided to host a virtual event to showcase fashion on the avenue.
Besides highlighting local fashion trends and businesses, the fashion show was held to raise money for the West Reading Revitalization Foundation, an organization dedicated to promoting small businesses in the borough.
Two shows were produced for the event, the first being a 45 minute pre-show which was broadcast on Facebook Live. The second was the main event, a virtual fashion show featuring a fundraiser full of items to bid on from local small businesses.
To help showcase the businesses involved, organizers asked Berks Weekly to send a reporter to Dressed in Love Bridal Suite to produce a live remote interview.
Emily Fitzpatrick-Kenniston interviewed the owner Amanda Alger about her new businesses on the avenue and to showcase her line of dresses.
Following the live remote at Dressed in Love we made our way back the studio, located up the street at Nitro Bar.
In the live studio, Emily also interviewed Allison Shannon, owner of Allison Clothing Compan, and Robin Horman from Lilibea’s.
