I’m Jason Hugg, founder of Hugg Media Group. As a photojournalist and entrepreneur based in Reading, Pennsylvania, I’ve built two community-first publications that deliver trusted local news and help small businesses thrive through digital storytelling.
Camera to Community
I started with a DSLR and an idea: tell better stories. What began as portrait photography evolved into a mission to amplify community voices and support local journalism.
Built for Berks County
In 2016 I launched Reading Magazine to focus on positive stories. In 2019, Berks Weekly followed — a hybrid news site built to keep local news in local hands.
A Modern Media Model
